This wasn’t what I expected. You always surprise me. Such an emotive story. I loved the comparison between the fantasy world and the real world. It made it so much more of a shock when it turned out to not be just a macabre fairy tail. Very poiniant. Jx

I walked into reading The Higher with an open mind with limited knowledge of biblical characters and their impact on its “readers”. The story struck me with force from start to finish and rollercoastered throughout. I think anyone with knowledge of biblical happenings or not will enjoy the book from start to finish. This is due to its eloquently written storyline and gripping twists and turns throughout. In my own opinion I love the book and hope lots of other readers pick it up because they will be pleasantly surprised.
Decee Foulkes’ novels can only get better i believe and i will be in line for the next set of characters she presents us with.
